The Watchman's Diary

“Also I saw in my dream, and suddenly seven heads came up on one stalk, full and good. Then behold, seven heads, withered, thin, and blighted by the east wind, sprang up after them. And the thin heads devoured the seven good heads. So I told this to the magicians, but there was no one who could explain it to me.” (Genesis 41:22-24, NKJV).

What do you do with dreams that are seemingly random but continually parallel others over time? The Watchman has had and documented visions of war on the home front; visions of invasion and destruction in the midst of a blind population. The Watchman has seen in his vision, the sign of Jonah; the rising of Jonah from the belly of the whale. These are the days of Jonah and the message of repentance have been delivered and echoed abroad. Many watchmen have been sounding the alarms and warning of things to come.

They have become accustomed to the dark; they say “we see clearly and you are delusional”. The moles have gathered together to instruct the eagle in the ways of the sun. They mistake darkness for light; calling good evil and evil good. They say “keep your message of doom and gloom to yourself”.

Shall the watchmen speak softly of the enemies approach? Shall he not gladly announce the approach of the King? Can the dark instruct the light in the ways of the sun? Shall the turkey instruct the eagle regarding life on the cliffs?

They close their eyes and stop their ears when truth contradicts their beliefs. Yet, they shall witness that which has been declared. They shall have to defend themselves in the day of trouble. Yes, the day of affliction awaits and is now here. Yes, tomorrow you will see clearly what you deny today but your memory shall be blotted out and the hardness of your heart will prevail.

These are the days of Jonah when many run blindly from the word of God. There is a tumult in the great sea and only One has the power to save. There is a rising in the waves and the boughs of great vessels are bending under their might. Will you be as Nineveh and repent or will your abstinent heart deliver you up to the wrath of the Almighty God. Yes, The winepress of the wrath of God is prepped and ready.

Will you submit to the will of God, or is repentance to far from you? Will you not dwell in the shadow of the Almighty, where safety dwells? Life is at a crossroad and there are only two options. Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!
