“I have come in My Father’s name, and you do not receive Me; if another comes in his own name, him you will receive”. (John 5:43) It is difficult not to come to the conclusion that the Church in America has abdicated its authority to political usurpers who feed on it for political gain; like leaches in a fish pond. Solomon was absolutely right when he said “there is nothing new under the sun” (Eccl 1:9). As far back as we have written history, the paradigm of the usurper has been the same. Jesus called it out during his earthly ministry, saying “from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffer violence, and the violent take it by force” (Matt 11:12). The enemy has been storming the gates of the righteous from the day God created man and the only thing that has changed is the tools with which he does it. The church in America suffers from its own unspoken “covenant” with political parties; actually one political party!
We are in a period of unprecedented focus on the church on Christianity; an opportunity for the church to lead. God has given us a small window to repent and to call the nation back to Him. The discussion of faith and politics is drawing our attention to Christ and what Christianity is really about. Though, it is difficult to tell if the church at large recognizes this. More voice has been given to a few benefactors of the political and religious turmoil that threatens to undermine the Gospel of Christ than to righteousness and godly living; to the Gospel itself. Why are we allowing the few to usurp and undermine Christianity? Why are we so beholden to political parties that we would follow unrighteous prognosticators and false witnesses to meet our individual agendas? How many others are there who would believe their political candidate or elected official over Jesus? This is a misguided generation who so boldly proclaim that “even if Jesus Christ were to come down from the cross and told me Trump was with Russia, I would tell him, hold on a second. I need to check with the President [Trump] if it’s true”. First of all, Jesus is not on the cross; in case you didn’t know. Secondly, why do you call Him Christ yet would believe a man over him; you Blasphemer? This is a blasphemous generation, prepped and ready to receive the Antichrist! “Not all who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven”. Do we now see why this statement from Jesus is so very true? Are you one of those to whom He will say “I never knew you; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness” (Matt 7:23)? I guarantee that if you are one of those who would believe a man over Christ; who would put the will of a politician and your own will over that of the Father, you will hear Him say “depart from me”! Whom do you serve and to whom do you say Lord, Lord? Serve him! |
