About two thousand years ago, God came to His own so that He might deliver us from the tyranny of sin and death. He did not appear as the people expected and did not live according to the limits they had set in place for themselves and the people of Israel.
The mission was a complete success! Yeshua died on the execution stake for your sins, and mine. Crowds of people greeted Yeshua shouting “Hosanna” the day he entered Jerusalem riding on the donkey (Matthew 21:9). Today we sing hallelujah because He overcame the cross and death and is advocating on our behalf before the Father.
Yeshua (Jesus/salvation) is the Messiah and His name alone grants us access to the Father. In Him, we have life and eternal light (John 1:4). He is the foundation of our faith and the cornerstone of our learning. We live, love, and walk totally dependent on Yeshua for our guidance.
Today, if you are calling and depending on another name, I urge you to consider Yeshua. You may feel as though you lack nothing or you may feel as though you have nothing but you cannot grant yourself life. To this Yeshua says, “Come! Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture says, ‘out of his innermost being will flow rivers of living water’” (John 7: 38).
